Werdohl station

Werdohl station sits on the Ruhr-Sieg line running between Hagen and Siegen, and has been in service since the route opened in 1861. For nearly seven decades it also served as the terminus of a narrow-gauge branch to Lüdenscheid, operated by the Kreis Altenaer Eisenbahn from 1887 until the line's closure in 1955. The station building is listed as a protected monument in North Rhine-Westphalia and remains the sole passenger rail stop for the town of Werdohl.
