Ziegelbrücke railway station
Ziegelbrücke railway station, opened in 1875, sits on the right bank of the Linthkanal in the municipality of Schänis, canton of St. Gallen. Built during the formative decades of the Swiss rail network, it has long served as a junction between the main Zürich–Sargans international corridor and the regional line connecting Rapperswil with Linthal. Today it remains a quiet but operationally significant interchange — a place most passengers pass through rather than visit, defined more by its canal-side setting than by any tourist draw.
