Bangabhaban

Bangabhaban (বঙ্গভবন) is the official residence of the President of Bangladesh in the capital Dhaka. The building carries layers of history: before 1947 it served as one of the residences of the British Viceroy of India; from 1947 to 1971 it housed the Governor-General of East Pakistan. The surrounding Bangabhaban Gardens were formerly the Dilkusha Gardens of the Nawab of Dhaka.
