Baring Mountain

Mount Baring is a rugged peak in the Cascade Range of Washington State, situated within the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest roughly three miles northeast of the Skykomish River. The mountain is noted for its sheer north face, which draws experienced technical climbers seeking one of the more demanding routes in the western Cascades. Hikers use the Eagle Lake Trail to access the sub-summit area, where views open across densely forested river valleys toward the Puget Sound lowlands. The remote national forest setting means minimal facilities — the draw here is raw Cascade wilderness.
