Aiguilles de Baulmes

The Aiguilles de Baulmes form a striking limestone ridge in the northern Vaud Jura, rising to around 1,560 metres south of Sainte-Croix in western Switzerland. The roughly five-kilometre-long crest runs southwest to northeast, its jagged profile one of the most recognisable silhouettes of the Swiss Jura plateau. On clear days the ridge offers sweeping views across the Swiss Plateau to the Alps, with the Mont Blanc massif and the Bernese Alps visible on the horizon. Hiking trails from Sainte-Croix and Baulmes reach the ridgeline, and the limestone faces attract climbers looking for quiet routes away from the region's busier crags.
