Basilica di Sant'Antonino

The Basilica di Sant'Antonino is a Romanesque church at the heart of Piacenza, dedicated to the city's patron saint Antoninus, a Christian martyr from late antiquity. Founded around 1000 AD, it ranks among the most significant medieval sacred buildings in the Emilia-Romagna region and holds the status of an Italian national monument. Its most distinctive feature is a forty-metre octagonal tower — an unusual form within northern Italian Romanesque architecture that has shaped the Piacenza skyline for centuries.
