Iglesia de San Cristóbal

The Iglesia de San Cristóbal is a Romanesque parish church located in the historic centre of Salamanca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. It is dedicated to Saint Christopher, patron of travellers — a fitting dedication for a city that served as a major stop on medieval pilgrimage routes and home to one of Europe's oldest universities. Detailed records of its founding are scarce, but it forms part of Salamanca's remarkable cluster of Romanesque urban churches that survive largely intact within the old city fabric. The building is not wheelchair accessible.
