Bayreuth Hauptbahnhof is the city's largest railway station and the terminus or starting point for four single-track, non-electrified lines, three of which are classified as main lines. Operated by DB Station&Service AG, it sits within the Nuremberg regional transit network and serves primarily as a functional interchange for travel across Upper Franconia.
