Beelu National Park sits in the Darling Ranges about 30 km east of Perth, forming part of the broader Parks of the Darling Range that serve as the city's green hinterland. Formerly known as Mundaring National Park, it was re-dedicated in 1995 under its Noongar name. The park is dominated by dense Southwest Australian eucalyptus bushland threaded with walking trails and picnic areas, making it a popular weekend escape for Perth residents. Native wildlife including kangaroos, echidnas, and an array of endemic bird species can be spotted along the trails.
