Beilstein

The Beilstein is a 499.5-metre summit in the Hessian Spessart, situated east of Bad Orb between the villages of Villbach and Lettgenbrunn in the Main-Kinzig district. It lies within one of Germany's largest contiguous forested areas, the Spessart, a range of rolling wooded hills little known outside the region. Well-marked hiking trails wind through mixed Spessart woodland to the summit, making it a quiet day-trip destination for walkers based in Bad Orb. There are no visitor facilities at the top — the appeal is straightforward forest hiking away from crowds.
