Belén de Escobar

Belén de Escobar is a city founded in 1877 on a tributary of the Río Paraná, some 50 kilometers north of Buenos Aires and the administrative seat of Partido Escobar. With around 80,000 inhabitants in the city proper and a further 90,000 in surrounding suburbs such as Ingeniero Maschwitz and Garín, it functions primarily as a commuter and service hub within Greater Buenos Aires. No distinctive cultural or tourist attributes are documented beyond its role as a regional center.
