Birsköpfli sits at the tip of Basel where the Birs river flows into the Rhine, forming a quiet green strip shared between the city of Basel and the neighboring municipality of Birsfelden. Its dual-river setting draws swimmers, cyclists and picnickers on warm days, with flat grassy banks that make it one of the more relaxed outdoor spots in the urban area.
