Basel SBB

Basel SBB is the largest border railway station in Europe and the principal long-distance hub of northwestern Switzerland. The neobaroque main building, erected around the turn of the twentieth century, is classified as a Swiss cultural property of national importance. From a single terminal, travellers reach connections across Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and TGV services to Paris — a consequence of the station's position at the tripoint of Germany, France, and Switzerland. The adjacent Basel SNCF station, separated by a customs barrier and operating its own platforms, handles regional trains into the Alsace. The station runs 24 hours a day and is fully wheelchair accessible.
