Biserica Sfânta Ecaterina

The Church of Saint Catherine (Biserica Sfânta Ecaterina) is a Roman Catholic parish church in Timișoara's historic Cetate district, situated on Strada Bolyai. The neobaroque building is listed as a protected historical monument and is dedicated to Saint Catherine of Alexandria, the early Christian martyr venerated as patron of scholars and craftspeople. Its architectural style reflects the Habsburg era of urban development that continues to define much of Timișoara's inner city. The church remains an active place of worship for the city's Catholic community.
