The Evangelical Lutheran Church on Piața Dr. I. C. Brătianu in Timișoara's historic Cetate district is the city's principal Lutheran place of worship. Its classicist architecture reflects the long presence of German-speaking Protestant communities in the Banat region, a minority that left a lasting imprint on local urban culture and building traditions. Dedicated to Martin Luther, the church's restrained interior follows Protestant principles — plain walls, no ornate imagery. It continues to serve an active Lutheran congregation today.
