БМ-13 «Катюша» на базі ЗіС-5

This preserved BM-13 multiple rocket launcher, mounted on a ZiS-5 truck chassis, stands as an open-air memorial in Odessa commemorating the Soviet use of the weapon during World War II. German troops nicknamed it the 'Stalin Organ' for the organ-pipe arrangement of its launch rails and the distinctive shrieking roar it produced when fired. Its affectionate Soviet nickname, 'Katyusha', derived from a popular 1938 folk song of the same name that became an unofficial anthem of the Red Army during the war. The exhibit is part of Odessa's broader memorial landscape recalling the city's fierce defense against Axis forces in the autumn of 1941.
