Botan River

The Botan Çayı is a tributary of the Tigris flowing through Siirt province in southeastern Turkey, one of Anatolia's more rugged and remote regions. Its valley is noted for steep gorges and green riverbanks that stand in sharp contrast to the dry plateau surrounding it. Tourist infrastructure along the river is minimal; it draws primarily kayakers and anglers seeking out the area's isolated natural scenery.
