Brasselsberg

The Brasselsberg is a 434-metre wooded hill spur on the eastern flank of the Hoher Habichtswald near Kassel in northern Hesse. Its summit is crowned by the Kassel Bismarck Tower, one of around 240 surviving Bismarck monuments erected across Germany following the death of the Iron Chancellor in 1898. The tower functions as a viewpoint today, offering panoramic views across the rolling north-Hessian uplands on clear days. A network of forest trails through the mixed woodland makes the Brasselsberg a popular local hiking destination for residents of Kassel and Baunatal.
