Breggia

The Breggia is a roughly 23-kilometre river forming the natural border between the Italian province of Como in Lombardy and the Swiss canton of Ticino in the district of Mendrisio. The river valley offers accessible walking along its banks, though without major developed tourism infrastructure. As a border waterway, it marks the boundary between two distinct linguistic and administrative territories within a short stretch of alpine foothills.
