Arc

Marseille

The Arc is an 83-kilometre river in the Provence region of southern France, rising in the Parc Naturel Régional de la Sainte-Baume and emptying into the Étang de Berre, a saltwater lagoon connected to the Mediterranean west of Marseille. It passes through the Var and Bouches-du-Rhône départements, flowing through Aix-en-Provence along the way. The river traverses a varied landscape of scrubland, hills, and industrial coastline, but has little developed visitor infrastructure of its own.
