Brug bij Westervoort

The Brug bij Westervoort crosses the IJssel — the northeastern arm of the Rhine in the Dutch river delta — over a total length of 467 metres, composed of four connected steel truss spans. The structure carries three types of traffic simultaneously: the Oberhausen–Arnhem railway line, a road, and a dedicated cycling lane linking Arnhem and Westervoort. For cyclists in particular the bridge offers an open, unobstructed view across the wide IJssel floodplain and serves as a practical crossing on regional riverside bike routes.
