Alterlaa

Alterlaa is an elevated station on Vienna's U6 metro line, situated in the 23rd district of Liesing on a viaduct above Anton-Baumgartner-Straße. It first opened in 1979 as a stop on the rapid tram line 64, then was progressively rebuilt into a full metro station by 1995 as the city extended its network southward. The raised platform gives open views over the low-rise southern suburbs. The station is wheelchair-accessible and operated by Wiener Linien.
