Ankapark

Wonderland Eurasia, originally opened as Ankapark, is an abandoned amusement park on the western outskirts of Ankara. At the time of its 2019 opening it boasted 17 roller coasters — the second-highest count of any park in the world — yet it shut down permanently in February 2020 after less than a year of operation. Most of the rides and structures remain largely intact, slowly rusting in place with no active maintenance. For urban exploration enthusiasts, the sprawling complex has become one of Turkey's most surreal decay sites: a ghost park where coasters and carousels stand frozen mid-season, a monument to a spectacular municipal miscalculation.
