Chobani Stadium

Also known as: Şükrü-Saraçoğlu-Stadion, Saracoglu Stadium, Sukru Saracoglu Stadium · +3

Sukrue Saracoglu Stadium sits in Istanbul's Asian Kadikoey district as the home ground of Fenerbahce SK. First opened in 1908 as the Ittihat Spor Field and renamed in 1933 after the club, it has carried the name of Mehmet Sukrue Saracoglu, Turkey's fifth prime minister and Fenerbahce president from 1934 to 1950, since 1998. After several refurbishments the venue is now officially Ulker Stadium Fenerbahce Sukrue Saracoglu and holds roughly 47,834 spectators. The Buyuk Acik stand is famed for its atmosphere during derbies with Galatasaray and Besiktas, when the whole of Kadikoey feels like an extended forecourt. Away fans are guided into a segregated sector. The club museum displays trophies and shirts from Champions League nights and opens on weekdays. Stadium tours start at the south entrance, easily reached by ferry from Eminoenue.
