Église Saint-Étienne

The Église Saint-Étienne is a Catholic parish church in the small Alsatian village of Boofzheim, Bas-Rhin, about 30 kilometres south of Strasbourg. The building reflects three distinct construction campaigns — 1516, 1608, and 1684 — leaving readable traces of both Renaissance and Baroque phases in its fabric. It was listed as a Monument historique in 1935. More a quiet local landmark than a regional draw, the church stands as a modest document of Alsace's turbulent religious history between the Reformation and the Counter-Reformation.
