Kaisaniemi Park

Kaisaniemi Park lies in Helsinki's Kluuvi district along the Toolo Bay shore and ranks among the city's oldest public green spaces. Laid out in the early 19th century, it also hosts the University of Helsinki botanical garden, whose greenhouses display tropical and subtropical plants. A landmark restaurant pavilion has stood at the park edge since the 1830s, hosting generations of students. Visitors stroll between old lindens, tour the tropical glasshouses, or watch the bustle around the adjacent central station.
