CowParade is an international public art project in which life-size fiberglass cow sculptures are decorated by local artists and placed throughout urban spaces. Originating in Zurich in 1998, the concept has since been realized in dozens of major cities worldwide. The brightly painted cows are often placed in unexpected locations, inviting passersby to discover them. The Czech name means Cow on the Roof, referring to a particularly striking placement in this local edition. CowParade blends art, humor, and urban culture in a playful and accessible format.
