Rothenburger Straße

Rothenburger Strasse traces the course of a medieval long-distance road that once linked the two Free Imperial Cities of Nuremberg and Rothenburg ob der Tauber through the Rangau region. Today its four-lane section between Nuremberg and Leichendorf ranks among the most heavily used state roads in the greater Nuremberg area — significant as infrastructure, but without any distinct tourist or cultural draw.
