MonumentSoviet Era
A GAZ-21 Volga, the Soviet mid-range automobile produced by the GAZ factory in Gorky, stands as a street memorial in Rivne. Introduced in 1956 as the successor to the Pobeda, the model was manufactured until 1970 and was the first car to carry the Volga name. In Soviet life it was primarily a vehicle of state officials and taxi fleets, making it one of the most recognizable symbols of everyday Soviet culture. The Rivne exhibit serves as a small monument to that automotive and social history.
