Aalen Hauptbahnhof sits roughly 200 metres northeast of Aalen's old town and serves as the main rail junction for the Ostwürttemberg region. Three lines converge here — the Remsbahn from Stuttgart, the Brenzbahn toward Ulm, and the Goldshöfe–Crailsheim line — making it the key interchange between the Stuttgart network and eastern Baden-Württemberg. The station is wheelchair accessible.
