Korntal station

Korntal station in Korntal-Münchingen is more than a Stuttgart S-Bahn stop on the Württemberg Black Forest Railway: it is the starting point of the Strohgäu Railway, operated by the Württembergische Eisenbahngesellschaft (WEG) on its own network, connecting villages in the Strohgäu plateau north of Stuttgart. This makes Korntal a small junction where the S-Bahn and the historic WEG branch line meet.
