Abando Indalecio Prieto

Abando Indalecio Prieto is Bilbao's main railway terminus, situated in the Abando district at Plaza Circular. Founded in 1870 during the industrial development of the Basque Country, it serves as the end point for all Renfe regional and long-distance services into the city — Bilbao's geography makes a through-station layout impractical. The building stacks its platforms on the upper floor above an integrated shopping centre and multi-storey car park. Tram lines, city buses, and Metro Bilbao lines 1 and 2 converge here, making it the primary transit hub for the greater Bilbao area.
