Adolphe-Brücke

The Adolphe Bridge — locally called the 'Neue Brücke' or New Bridge — spans the wooded Pétrusse valley in Luxembourg City and ranks among the largest stone-arch bridges in the world. Named after Grand Duke Adolph, it links the Boulevard Royal in the historic upper town with the Avenue de la Liberté in the station district, forming a central urban axis between two distinctly different quarters. The bridge's broad stone arches are best appreciated from the valley floor, where the Pétrusse park paths offer unobstructed views of the full span. For visitors arriving by train, it serves as a natural gateway into the Old Town.
