Auersberg

The Auersberg, at 1,018 metres above sea level, is the second-highest peak in the Erzgebirge range and sits close to the Czech border between Eibenstock and Johanngeorgenstadt in Saxony. Its forested granite summit is a classic hiking destination in the western Erzgebirge, offering far-reaching views into Bohemia on clear days. In winter the surrounding terrain draws cross-country skiers and tobogganers, making it a year-round excursion point for the region.
