Anafiotika

A tiny island village in the middle of the capital: in the mid-19th century, builders from the Cycladic island of Anafi built whitewashed cottages with blue doors on the slope of the Acropolis - just as they had known back home. Cobbled stairways climb into a piece of the Cyclades in the heart of Athens.
