坝陵河大桥

The Balinghe Bridge (坝陵河大桥) is a suspension bridge in Guanling County, Guizhou Province, carrying the Shanghai–Kunming Expressway roughly 370 meters above the Balinghe River — placing it among the highest bridges in the world. The deep karst gorge it spans made conventional pier construction impractical, requiring a long-span suspension design anchored to the sheer canyon walls. Drivers crossing it are treated to a vertiginous drop into a forested ravine, the river reduced to a thin ribbon far below — an unexpectedly dramatic moment on what is otherwise a standard expressway journey through southwestern China.
