Oberwesel station
Cultural HeritageUNESCO World Heritage
Artern station is a listed Kulturdenkmal (heritage monument) in the Kyffhäuserkreis district of Thuringia. It sits on the Sangerhausen–Erfurt line and serves as the terminus of the Unstrutbahn regional railway from Naumburg. Until 1966, two further branch lines terminated here — including the Berga-Kelbra–Artern route — reflecting a once-greater regional rail importance that has since diminished. Today it functions as a standard regional stop operated by DB InfraGO.
