Puigcerdà station

Puigcerdà station sits on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees near the French border and is a listed cultural heritage site of Catalonia. The building was designed in the Noucentisme style, a Catalan architectural movement of the early 20th century that emerged as a classicist counterpoint to Modernisme. What makes the station technically distinctive is its dual-gauge track layout — both the Iberian broad gauge (1,668 mm) and the standard European gauge (1,435 mm) are in use, facilitating cross-border rail traffic into France without wheel-set changes. The station is operated by Adif and is wheelchair accessible.
