Auezov Theatre

Auezov Theatre is a metro station on the Almaty Metro, opened on 1 December 2011 as part of the line's inaugural section — Kazakhstan's only underground rail system. The station takes its name from the adjacent Mukhtar Auezov State Academic Drama Theatre, one of Kazakhstan's foremost theatrical institutions. It functions as a routine transit stop in the southern city centre with no distinct tourist or architectural attributes of its own.
