Aussichtspunkt Heuberg

The Heuberg viewpoint sits at around 2,000 metres in the Bernese Oberland above the glacial Oeschinensee near Kandersteg, and consistently earns superlatives from hikers who make the climb. The trail is moderately challenging — steep enough to feel earned, accessible enough for fit beginners — and sees noticeably fewer visitors than the popular lake-shore path below. At the top, the panorama opens onto the turquoise lake framed by sheer limestone walls and a broad arc of alpine peaks, an unobstructed view that has made it a recurring location for engagement photo shoots.
