Albristhorn

The Albristhorn stands at 2,762 m as the highest and final summit of the Niesenkette range in the Bernese Prealps, straddling the municipal boundary between St. Stephan and Adelboden. As the terminus of the Niesen chain, it occupies a commanding position above the Kander and Simme valleys. Reaching the summit demands surefootedness and proper alpine gear, particularly along the upper ridge sections. The reward is a sweeping 360-degree panorama across the Bernese Alps, taking in the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau massif. Away from the more heavily visited neighboring peaks, the Albristhorn remains a quiet and lightly trafficked high-alpine destination.
