Aussichtsturm Rödlas
Observation towerHighlandPanoramic View+1
The Hohenmirsberger Platte observation tower is a 28-metre wooden structure with an unusual pentagonal cross-section, built in 2008 on the plateau northeast of Hohenmirsberg near Pottenstein in Franconian Switzerland. Its viewing platform sits at 22 metres and offers wide-ranging views over the forested hills and valleys of the Fränkische Schweiz nature park. The tower doubles as a broadcast mast for local radio station Mainwelle (93.3 MHz), an odd pairing of leisure infrastructure and telecommunications. Access is free and around the clock, though the tower has no wheelchair access.
