Bungo station

Bungo station, opened in 1889 during Portuguese colonial rule, serves as Luanda's central railway terminus and sits at the eastern edge of the Ingombota district, close to the city's harbour. It is the starting point of the Luanda railway line, though today only suburban trains operate from here to Catete, some 60 kilometres away — long-distance services depart from the separate Luanda Musseques station. The building stands as one of the few surviving examples of late 19th-century colonial infrastructure in the Angolan capital.
