Celle station

Celle station is one of Lower Saxony's oldest continuously operating railway stations, inaugurated on 9 October 1845 when the Hanoverian State Railway extended its line northward from Hanover. Its opening connected the historic ducal town of Celle to the emerging national rail network at a pivotal moment in German transport history. Today it serves regional and long-distance trains, acting as the main rail gateway to Celle's well-preserved medieval old town.
