Emmendingen railway station

Emmendingen station is one of Baden-Württemberg's oldest railway stops, opened on 1 August 1845 as part of the inaugural Offenburg–Freiburg section of the Rheintalbahn. The line was among the early arteries of the German rail network, linking the Rhine valley towns well before national unification. Today it serves as a regional stop on S-Bahn and local services between Freiburg and Offenburg, functioning as everyday transit infrastructure rather than a visitor destination.
