Bitburg-Erdorf station
Bitburg-Erdorf station is the only remaining passenger-served railway building in Bitburg and is listed as a protected cultural monument in Rhineland-Palatinate. Its neogothic station building sits on the Eifel railway line and once served as the junction for the Nims-Sauertalbahn, a branch line running toward the Luxembourg border. That route has since been largely closed to regular traffic, with only a short freight-operated stub remaining alongside occasional special trains. The station is a modest but tangible relic of the Eifel region's once-dense rural rail network.
