Ludwigsburg station
Railway HistoryRailway Station
Also known as: Waiblingen
Waiblingen station is a classic "Keilbahnhof" — a wedge junction where two railways converge: the Rems Valley Railway (Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt to Nördlingen) and the Murr Valley Railway (Waiblingen to Schwäbisch Hall-Hessental). Having two major routes share a single station makes Waiblingen a rail junction of national significance. The Stuttgart S-Bahn also stops here; the station is a category 3 facility with full wheelchair accessibility.
