Koblenz-Lützel station
Railway History
Rosh HaAyin South station sits on the Israeli Lod–Hadera East railway line, named after the town of Rosh HaAyin immediately to its east. It opened in 1915 as a military stop on the Ottoman narrow-gauge Masudiyya–Sinai railway, built to move troops toward the Sinai front during World War One. British Palestine Military Railways took over operations in 1918 and incorporated the line into the expanding rail network of Mandatory Palestine. The station today serves as a modern commuter halt connecting the coastal plain with the eastern Tel Aviv metropolitan area.
