Schönhausen (Elbe) railway station

Schönhausen (Elbe) station sits on the historic Berlin–Lehrte railway line and is the sole remaining passenger station in the small Saxony-Anhalt municipality of the same name. In its heyday it served as a minor junction, with branch lines running to Genthin and Sandau — both long since closed. The station building is listed as a protected cultural monument (Kulturdenkmal) in Saxony-Anhalt, preserving a modest record of regional rail history. Today only occasional regional trains call here, making it primarily of interest to railway historians.
