Villingen (Schwarzwald) railway station

Villingen (Schwarzwald) station sits at 704 metres above sea level on the eastern edge of Villingen's historic town centre, across the river Brigach. It serves as a stop on the Schwarzwaldbahn, one of 19th-century southwest Germany's most demanding feats of railway engineering, and as the terminus of the Rottweil–Villingen line. One of two stations in the merged city of Villingen-Schwenningen, it functions as a straightforward regional transit hub without notable architectural or cultural distinction.
